This is a popular event for us where we can get everyone together, our first indoor person tournament since the pandemic. Everyone was thrilled to get together again.

NEAAD has announced to reopen into business after an pause due to the pandemic known as COVID-19.

We the Board continue to take our time to ensure that we have all information correct from our state’s guidelines, this is the reason of the delay of announcement.

Now, I’m pleased to announce that we will be holding the Regional Softball Tournament on July 10, 2021 as planned. We have moved the site of the Softball Regional Tournament from Wilbraham, Massachusetts to Mill Woods Park, Wethersfield, Connecticut. All of the softball forms are now available.

NEAAD has began to plan ahead for the upcoming 2021 Softball Season. NEAAD has found a field for us to play for this year’s NEAAD Regional Tournament and it will take place at Wilbraham, MA on July 10.  We are committed to prepare and schedule for all 3 divisions (Men’s, Women’s and Coed) to play on July 10.  We are hoping to provide round robin games and a double elimination bracket.

We will take extra cautious and extra steps to ensure that we follow all COVID-19 rules set by the field, town and state.  We will make sure hand sanitizations and wipes are available at each field.

We, NEAAD, want to know if your organization is planning to send a team to play in this year’s NEAAD Regional Tournament in any division (Men’s, Women’s and Coed), please let us know ASAP (reply back) so we can better plan the tournament for your enjoyment.

Later this week, NEAAD will update all forms for the NEAAD Regional Softball Tournament and will post them on the web and our Secretary, Jessica, will mail them out to all organization leaders.  We will post flyer and details as soon as we can.

We are looking forward playing softball with all of you this summer!

2021 Softball Season –

No decision made, but we will not make any preparation for the softball season until we receive more information from our local towns with information on how to reserve fields for an all-day tournament.  As of now, all towns in the New England regions has no concrete plans to reopen public parks for an all-day tournament. Once we receive these information, the Board will meet again to discuss softball plans.
